Blog Post 4: My Thoughts On The I-Beam Project
I thought that the I-beam project was really cool. I can’t believe that a few simple pieces of cardboard, glue, and tape, could hold as much wait as my I-Beam did. For my custom I-beam, I was able to hold 6 big cans, but my I-beam fell when I tried to add a second humongous jar of pasta sauce. I think that if I hadn’t tried to add the pasta sauce jar, my custom I-beam would’ve been able to hold a lot more. For the I-beam that I followed instructions on, I was able to fill three whole bags of giant cans and other things to the very, very, tippy top. (I stopped at three, because I thought that I had done a good job with the project, and there was no need for me to keep filling bags with things). I was able to fill a bag with 11 giant cans, 1 water bottle, 1 long, heavy charger, lots of markers, and 1 heavy biggish pen and pencil holder with lots of pens and pencils. I think that’s pretty awesome that one small I-beam, just made out of cardboard with some glue and tape, can hold all that. I also thought that the project Mr. Calvert had us do was pretty cool. I still can’t get over the fact that a homemade I-beam was able to hold all those things though. I also thought that Mr. Calvert gave really good instructions in his video, and it was very easy to follow along. If you’re reading this, thanks for posting a really helpful video, Mr. Calvert! Anyway, I thought that the I-beam project was really cool, and I’m happy that I got to do it. Thanks for giving us this project Mr. Calvert!
