I had finished my yummy dinner of hot meatballs at my house. The meatballs were not actually yummy. But they were super hot. But with cool milk they tasted okay. I was thinking about my best friend Sumika when suddenly, I rushed away from the dinner table.“Where are you going?” asked my mom from downstairs. “You will see!” I shouted.
It was a dark night. The dark gray clouds covered the shining magical moon. I went upstairs and brushed my teeth so that they were shining. My mom came upstairs. The steps creaked as my mom walked. I was putting on my short sleeve strawberry night gown, when my mom asked, “So, what are you doing?” “Mommy,” I said in my sweetest voice, “Will you read me the rest of Harry Potter and the Saucer Stone? Pretty please?” “Okay,” she replied.
My mom and I went to my bedroom. I got into my blow up bed on the floor in my bedroom. When I got all cozy in the blow up bed, my mom sat at the end of the bed (because the book had no pictures) and started to read Harry Potter. I was envisioning and thinking about what she was reading to me. I was picturing how Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger, the main characters, got past a three headed dog whose name was Fluffy. I was also picturing how Harry Hermione and Ron got past an evil plant that eats people alive when people are scared of it. Then my mom started reading the part when Harry was alone and saw his enemy, Lord Voldemort. “AHHHHHHHHHH…” I suddenly shouted! I WAS AFRAID! Before my mom could say anything, I yelled again, “KEEP READING!!!” I wanted to hear the end of the story. Even though I had a pillow over my ears I still could hear my mom continuing to read Harry Potter. Then she eventually finished the book. I was happy I had finished the book that night even though I had to listen to a very scary part! It was worth it.
