Football helmets are designed took keep you safe when you play football for example offense when you play QB and you are getting tackled you fall with your helmet and you don’t bang your head very hard. Over the years the NFL have made more advanced helmets from almost a skateboard helmet to a helmet with a face mask and a lot of padding in the helmet that feels comfortable to the players when playing football. The NFL have made rules too which helmets you can, cannot wear. So that the players do not get as many head injuries such as a conccusion.
