This is my Literary Essay on those shoes. first we all read those shoes as a class then we got together with our partners and decided that people are kind to Jeremy. Then we had to find evedence that people are kind to Jeremy this was hard work and I hope you injoy!

In the book Those Shoes  by Maribeth Boelts some people are kind to Jeremy.

Mr. Alfrey the guidance counselor is kind to Jeremy in paragraph 8.  Mr. Alfrey said, “looks like you could use a new pair of shoes, Jeremy.”  Mr. Alfrey pulls out a box of shoes and other stuff for kids who need things.  Mr. Alfrey finds the only pair of shoes that fit Jeremy, velcro and a picture of a cartoon character that no one watches.  This shows me that Mr. Alfrey is kind to Jeremy.

Grandma is kind to Jeremy in paragraph 12 when grandma says, “let’s check out the shoes you are wanting so much.”  Grandma has a little extra money set aside for Jeremy. Grandma says “it might be enough you never know.” This shows me that grandma is kind to Jeremy.  Another example is grandma sneaks new snow boots in Jeremy’s closet for winter.

Jeremy learns that there is no room for wants around here only needs.
