Desert PSA reflection

The first step was we did research on on the human impact on the deserts. Then was we had to make a script of the words or text that would appear. Then we made our story board. The story board had to be at least 10 or 11 panels long. The panel were the photos or the videos that you see. The video could only be 60 seconds long. Then we had to do our first draft of the video itself. Then we had to figure out which picture we wanted to keep and the ones that had to be replaced. We used the website creative commons for the better photos. Then we added transitions and audio recording. Then we had some peers look at it the we hit the finish button and put the video on drive. I though the project was over all pretty easy.

Here is the video hope you enjoy:

Colonial America Book Reflection

I liked the colonial book project. But it took to a long time here is the long process of the book. First we got plan books and set up our plan. Then we we went to library to learn how to do a citation. Then we used the websites and books that were provided to us. We had special times when we could use the books. We researched about our chapter 1 first for about 1 week then we started working on our chapter 2. It was a little stressful because when we looked through a new book we had to write the citation for the book. Then after we thought we had enough we wrote all the information on index cards. Then we wrote it all down on our yellow notepad and then we copied the text from the notepad and typed it up on the computer. Then we repeated this process until all of our text was typed up. Then our teacher checked it and after that we were allowed to paste it into our book presentation in slides. Then we went to computer lab to learn how to do a bibliography. Then we made our bibliography and glossary. Then we looked for pictures we could add. Then we added the pictures. Once we were all done with all that, we had to write a Colonial America Blog Post which is what you are reading now. So those were all the steps of the process.

The hardest part of the book was when we had to write all the citations. Because if we didn’t write the citation we could not use that information. My favorite parts of the process was writing this post. Because it was a nice change of pace from all the research and the non – fiction writing so this was my favorite. I also really liked typing and writing my chapter 3 because we got to be a little humorous with the text we wrote. I really liked creating the characters with also keeping some of the topic information.I learned that not everything is how it seems like I though colonial life was easy but I learned it’s really not. Like the colonist had to hunt for food and can’t really buy it. One thing I think I could have done differently is with taking more time to research. So I hope you enjoy my Colonial America Book.

Colonial Day

Last week my school had colonial day. My favorite activity was toys and games. Because we got to play with old fashion games. And we also didn’t have to work. I learned that colonial life was very hard but it could also be fun. Especially playing games with the toys. I want to know why they picked George Washington as the 1st president.
