After a few months of working on this project, is close to coming to a end. This project took me a while to do all the research and even longer to put it all together.

The first part of my capstone was thinking of my main inquiry question. I chose to do How has Youtube changed the makeup industry all over the world? The second step was my essay. My essay was all about my main inquiry question and I put in a lot of my information I found while researching.

Another step was the slides. The slides took me a while with finding photos and fixing up my script. The next step was practicing my script over and over again. Everyday, I have been presenting in front of my class and they would give me feed back on my project. The last step now is rehearsing and then recording my project. I cannot believe how close we are to finishing our last project of Elemantry school. I can’t wait to see how this comes out in the end and even more excited for all of you to see it. This will be my final blog post for Capstone and can’t believe it. I can’t wait for all of you to see the final project. Bye!

Capstone interview

For my Capstone interview, I interviewed my moms really good friend, Josephine.  I interviewed Josephine because she is a makeup artist for anything you can think of. These are some of the questions and answers.

My first question was What made you want to become a makeup artist? She said that when she was a young girl, her mom owned a makeup salon. She was inspired by all the work her mom did on someone’s makeup which made her want to become one when she was older. She started her job as a makeup artist when she was 17 in the year of 2006.  Another question I asked her was What was one of the hardest makeup looks someone asked for? Explain. She said that the hardest makeup look that she had done was Drag makeup. She said how is it was a big challenge to do Drag makeup but it was very fun to do.  Another question I asked her was Do you have a favorite brand of makeup and why? She said her favorite brand of makeup is MAC because MAC was made for makeup artists before it was open for the public.

One thing that I loved about my interview was she asked me why I want to become a makeup artist when I’m older. I said whenever I was at my grandmas house, I would always see her putting on lipstick which got me very inspired. I also would watch my mom do her own makeup which got me even more inspired. She told me that was welcome to work there whenever I was ready to have a job. I was very happy with how this interview turned out and I cannot wait for you all to see the final project and all the work I put into it! Bye!

2020 and all that happened

2020 has been a roller coaster for all of us. It was a crazy year for all of us. We had to quarintine, we lost some people on the way and alot of animals suffered in the austrailina fires but this year taught me alot, like how to be safe and wear a mask out in public and that we can still have fun during a time like this by staying six-feet and having handsanatizer. One thing that made the year even crazier was the election. For weeks, all I heard were people talking about the election. This year really was a roller coaster, but lets have some luck for 2021!
