Rube Goldberg Blog Post 5

We did it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We finished our project, the machine worked!!!!!!!!! (on take 21 or something).

Our final meeting began with us jumping right in!!!!!! We had about 5 fails before we succeeded in our last meeting.

On the first attempt, step 3 failed when the car missed the popsicle sticks. On our last 4 attempts (before our success) the popsicle sticks kept missing each other, therefore the step 4 failed. This past meeting was the last meeting we are going to have. It was the best meeting because it was good to experience the feeling of success and I wish we could do the project again!

Rube Goldberg Blog Post 3

Making decisions for your Rube Goldberg is really hard. Every decision you make is a big part. One bad decision can push you back, so decision making is very important. Graham, Jason and I are working on our Rube Goldberg together and we are making hard choices for our project. It was a hard decision if we should start over and wreck our Rube Goldberg but we did agree to do it.  After wrecking our old Rube Goldberg we started to rebuild it on the pool table, we called it “pools closed” because it was on a pool table. So we got to rebuild and add the final steps to “pools closed” and decided if we needed edits. We tried to test the new machine and it failed. We made edits and we are going to test it again. All decisions we made were a big step towards success and more hard choices will come to help us succeed.

Rube Goldberg Project Blog Post 1

We started our Rube Goldberg project about a week ago and we already are 4 steps in! I am making my Rube Goldberg with my friends Graham and Jason.

First, we came up with a plan to get an idea of what we wanted our Rube Goldberg to look like/simple task. Then we got to work. We looked around and pulled some stuff together for the Rube Goldberg. In our first meet we got two steps done. In our second meet we got two more steps done and did a successful run-through! It was awesome! We were screaming like crazy! It was so exiting! though we weren’t finished we knew half of the machine was possible!  Rube Goldberg is the best project ever, I can’t wait to keep going and finish the Contraption!
