Technology blog post #9

This is the last week in technology. There were nine weeks, and we are on the last one. We did many different projects, but my favorite was making a breadboard circuit. I liked it because it was cool to see how the 9 volt battery made the circuit work, and how you needed to use the right resister. Also, it was cool how the LED light lit up, because you connected them to different wires.

My least favorite project was using the wire cutter to strip the wires. I think this because it really hurt my hands when I had to strip the wires. I really liked technology, because we learned how so many different things worked, like gears and atoms.

This week for homework, we had to make a crank. The crank was harder to make then the cam, because it had more complicated steps. The first step was to cut everything out. We cut the inside of the box out with a paper cutter, so that it would be easier to cut. Next, we put the box together. The next step was to put together all of the little boxes that will go into the cube. One that was done, I glued it to make it into a crank. I put that into the cube, and then I attached a handle on the side.

I think that the hardest part was putting the small cubes together. I think this because I could not find a video on how to do that step, so I had to figure it out on my own.
