My opinion of the laws that require the timber industry to replant trees and pay more attention to the environment is that they should encourage more of this. I think that because of increasing global warming and air pollution, the world will need more trees to provide us with oxygen and make the environment better. I feel as though the law is not requiring enough trees to be replanted once they are cut down. One of my ideas for this is that every time you cut down a tree, you plant another in its place. This might cost a lot of money, but I think it is an effective way of making enough trees to cut them down again later, and to provide more oxygen and take the environment back to how it was before you cut down the trees. Another idea is to replant two trees per every one tree that you cut down. I now think that this wouldn’t be a good idea because it would cost so much more than replanting one tree, and there might not be enough space to replant twice the amount of trees there were in the beginning, which would lead to overcrowding.
