Mystery Padlet

We are in the middle of our mystery unit. We’re learning about the different elements of mystery: detectives/sleuths, suspects, red herrings, evidence, clues and much more.

Below is a link to a padlet. Read the question and answer in complete sentences.

Make sure to:

  • Capitalize all proper nouns and words that begin a sentence.
  • Use punctuation when needed: commas, question marks, periods, exclamation points, quotations, etc.
  • Check for spelling.
  • Proofread over your post BEFORE you press enter.

Mystery Read Alouds

We are at the end of our mystery unit of study. You’ve done a great job of listening, turning and talking, and jotting about:

  • crime solvers
  • suspects
  • red herrings
  • clues
  • favorite/surprising parts

I am wondering which read aloud did you like better? “Absent Author” by Ron Roy or  The WhoDunIt Detective Agency: The Diamond Mystery” by Martin Widmark and Helen Willis? Why? Make sure you write details to help explain your reasoning.
