One of the many design challenges was today. We had Rob, from the DAE, come in and help us make this design challenge happen. Mrs. Cooper’s class came in and did the challenge with us. The challenge was to make the classroom of your dreams. We split up into groups and my group got right to designing. We went all wacky with ideas until we liked what was sketched down. So we were finished with our sketch but there was more. We got to bring that 2D sketch and make it 3D with only pipe cleaners, straws, popsicle sticks, tape, and play dough. Our team grabbed our materials and divided the work.
Our dream classroom had individual desks with floating beanbag chairs. Each person got their very own mini cabinet to store their supplies and had a robot pet with a charger for the pet. On the other side of the room there was a bar that has candy of all types, pretzels, and drinks. And right by that there were two different pods. One was a sleeping pod where when someone walks in it goes pitch black and the other one takes you to anyplace in the world in two seconds.
I don’t know about other people but I had such a great time with all of my friends making this classroom. It was one of the best design challenges ever!
