The evolution of glue

Glue has been around for over 5,000 year’s and it has changed a lot over time. The earliest evidence of glue is on cave paintings. Glue was first used to connect materials together for the repair of broken ceramics and statues in 4000 BCE. But that glue was made of bones, hides, and skin of animals. There was rabbit skin glue and fish glue. Glue sticks came out in 1969. A huge brand that makes lots of different types of glue is “Elmer’s.” Elmer’s glue came out with their liquid glue in 1947. Now several brands are making different glues and they’re making iterations to liquid glue and glue sticks. Glue continues to change and I wonder if we will be getting any new type of glue soon.
