What I learned from Wonder that will always stick with me is being different doesn’t mean you can hide away, trying to blend in is not being yourself. Everyone is different, just not as special as you.

Charlie’s Wish
I think Charlie wished for a different thing than she usually wishes. I wonder if she wished for more friends. I think Charlie likes living in Colby because she finally has someone to share her problems with. So I think Charlie wishes to be with her family in Colby. I also think she wished for her not to be lonely any more. She wants to make more friends be with her family and be happy just like the Odom family.

Halloween is positive for August because he gets to feel free and keep his head up in the halls because he’s wearing a mask. August knows that if he wears a mask doesn’t have to hide his face anywhere he goes as long as it’s Halloween. On Halloween August can be anyone else but him. He could hide his face in a fun costume he could even touch people like high five them or just give them a hand shake. Halloween is very positive to August.

August is at lunch and meets a girl Summer. Summer’s friends tries to get Summer back at their table, but fails. Summer talks to August and they create a Summer only table. They list all they names that are related to Summer. Think August really likes Jack Will because he tried to convince Summer that they should include Jack Will.

August just started school and is in home room. The whole class has to say two things about them selves and classmates can ask questions if they wanted to. By the time it was August’s turn he said he liked star wars and Julian was super savvy and asked if he liked Darth Sidious? August new what he was talking about and new that Julian doesn’t like him.
