Sister soccer practice

I had a tough weekend ahead of me, it was a state cup game and our team wasn’t used to playing together because we all came from different teams.  Saturday afternoon once I got home from practice, I was telling my mom while she was working how I needed more practice before the game. My sister just heard us talking about how I needed more practice and hopped right into the room and said how she would help me because she knew what my coaches expectations because she recently played soccer with him.

The minute I woke up I was ready to play.  I yelled at my sister and said “WAKE UP YOU LAZY GIRL!”I was able to tell that she was upset that I woke her up and she said”Fine” In the most sarcastic voice I have ever heard. The minute after I pulled her out of bed. Each of us got ready, we ate our breakfast and went straight to practicing. She knew how I was a defender and that I took all penalty kicks, goal kicks, some corner kicks, and penalty shots. I learned how to be aggressive without giving a foul. She helped me with all defending stuff because she was an attacking midfielder. She kept (trying) acting so strict. She was yelling pointing fingers and it kept making me want to laugh but if I did, it probably wouldn’t have ended well. She taught me how to take powerful goal kicks, corner kicks, free kicks, and penalty shots.

By the time we had lunch I was out of breath. My sister kept pushing me to do things that I wasn’t ready for and things I didn’t know quit as yet. I chugged 3 glasses of water in under 10 minutes. I felt as if I was being rushed to eat my lunch because she was being strict today, but usually she’s a happy girl. My sister and I were non-stop eating and drinking because we were super tired from all of the practice that we had earlier that day. My sister and I have already had an amazing connection, but somehow it got even better.

The morning before the game I was a little bit nervous but I knew that I was going to do great! The minute I got there I already felt warmed up. The game started early which made it even harder. As I said before my team wasn’t used to playing together because we all came from different teams. After all of my team’s hard work and me and my sisters extra practicing, our team won 7-0 and I scored my first goal of the season.
