Cutting Thin Wood

Today I’m going to be discussing cutting thin wood. The two typical tools people use when cutting thin wood is a hand saw and the slice precision cutter. When using a handsaw you keep all fingers on the grip, you have to be patient, and this tool works well going with or against the grain. The grain is the direction the lines on the wood is going, either side to side, or up and down. Also, the slice precision cutter works great going with the grain but not against it, you only need to go through the wood twice then you can snap it off, finally the pen needs to be on a 45° angle or the pen will not work as well. Overall, I am very excited to be able to cut and build wood and so far it has been a very fun experience.
