Capstone – Working On My Product – #6

Hi! Welcome to Samara’s world today I’m talking about capstone. In capstone you can have a slide show to talk about your topic and also thats what Im talking about.

If you don’t know my topic is assistive technology.

I’m presenting a TEDtalk, which is a slideshow with optional slides. The time has to be 5:00 to 6:00 minutes (you can go over the time).

I chose a TEDtalk because it has the most amount of time and so then I can explain everything in detail. I was going to do an ignite but my I saw what a TEDtalk was then I got interested in a TEDtalk.

To start my script you need a script organizer and for that you needed paragraphs. The paragraphs are for answering my sub questions. The script organizers was writing down the things you want to say, time and the picture for the slide.

The slides were easier than making the script because the script has the slide pictures that you want to add.

The big challenge for me was memorizing my script because their was so much to do.

Capstone – Answering My Main Question – #5

Hi! Welcome back to Samara’s World. Today and again I’m going to talk about capstone. For capstone you need a topic and a main question with sub questions.

Main question is, How has the design and function of assistive technology changed over time?

My answer, Alexander Graham Bell was thinking about creating a hearing aid because his wife lost her hearing. It was really sad for him so he tried to create one, but he falled. So he tried and tried, and gave up. One of his friends heard Ludwig Van, heard about his struggle and made the first hearing device the audio bone. Alexander got so amazed that he tried again and he made the first portable hearing aid. That was a long time ago in 1870s. Now hearing aids and FM monitor are so high tech.

That’s it come back to learn more about capstone.

Capstone – Site Visit – #4

Hello and welcome back to Samara’s world, today I’m going to talk about Capstone. In my capstone we all have to get a site visit and that’s what I’m to talk about.

I went to a place where they do hearing also we’re like audiologist work and everything and I went to their office and it was really fun. I thought that it was really cool to see what kids do, what kids work with, and what they work with in a classroom and find out some cool information.

I took pictures and got Pamphlet.

Next answering inquiry main question (Capstone)

Capstone – Interview – #3

Hello and welcome back to Samara’s world, today I’m going to talk about Capstone. In my capstone we all have to get a interview and that’s what I’m to talk about.

I interviewed Ms.G. It was fun, one reason why it was fun is because I knew her and the second reason is I knew her, she used to work with my mom and she works with me now. The hardest part about interviewing someone is, you don’t know who the person is or anything, but for me it was easy.

I asked her question like, how long have you been work?, what is your favorite part and more.

I also learned a lot more than I needed and that was perfect.

That is it.

Capstone – Questions – #2

Hello and welcome back to Samaraś world, Today Iḿ going to continue talking about capstone. For capstone we need so many thing like a main question and sub question. Now what are main and sub question, a main question is a question that you have to study my topic is assistive technology and my main question is How have the design and function of assistive technology changed over time? A sub question is like your main question but split up. For sub questions you have to have 5 or more, I have 7 but maybe using 5. My sub question are What is assistive technology? How has access to this tech changed? How have people’s views of assistive technology changed over time? How many people use assistive technology in their daily life changed?How was assistive technology created?What part of assistive technology have changed?Once you use assistive technology does it change your daily life?

Infographic

Welcome back to Samara’s world.  Today’s post is about infographics!  Now what is an infographic? An infographic is something that explains who someone is or what something is.  For example, you could make one about Julia Child. It would include her life cycle or information about her or a picture.  I did my infographic on Newton’s Three Laws.

 

My experience learning about Newton’s Three Laws was good.  I went on BrainPop and learned all I needed to know about his three laws.  I then started writing about what his three laws were using my own words. I also added a picture of him to my infographic.  Here is a picture of my infographic.

Edcamp Experience #2

Today we did Edcamp again. It was fun. I like learning about what people do and learning about job that maybe I can think about doing one day.

I learned about someone who helps over 100 people around the world that need help. She helps kids who are in need of food clothes and a place to live.  I learned that there are many ways to help people around the world.

I also learned about someone who works with solar panels. He also won the Nobel Bell Prize. I learn that when you turn off your water then the water is still running. 

I loved both of the speakers that I heard today. I learned a lot about both of them and about what they do. Thank you for reading Samara’s World.
