Save the World with The Power of Recycling

Today, Ms.Boyer’s friend, Monica came into our class to teach us how to reuse tinfoil and more!

After lunch, Monica came into our class to teach us how/what you can do by reusing tinfoil we also  were answering questions that were about breaking apart and building it back together. Each student got one packet that Monica made which had questions inside of the packet. Each student went to their seat and filled out the first question,”Write or draw things in the room that can be disassembled easily?”, after a look around the room, the first thing that came to mind was a yoga ball when it deflate’s and you have to pump it back up. There were more questions but all were similar. So, when we started to build, we made a piece of clothing out of a piece of tinfoil, I decided to make a shoe, how i did that was by molding my foot and making it into the design I liked. The next task was, that we had to make something with the same piece of tinfoil, for someone at your table. Since it is valentine’s day I made my friend, Julia a heart. Our third task was trying to collaborate with our table, we had to find a way to pick up bottle caps with no hands, the tool I created was, getting two pencils, a rubber band and tying the two together. The fourth question was, collaborating with two tables do the same task, I did the same thing. Sadly, the activity had to end. My favorite part about today was making my shoe because I loved to walk around in it.

See you next time, yours truly,

Very Vanessa
