E-Learning Wednesday March 25th

Good morning! What a great birthday Zoom yesterday – I loved seeing all of your treasures Trevor! Thank you for sharing.

My fabulous third graders, when you are making your plan for today, be sure to build in recess and several mental breaks. Have a set snack time and do something (unplugged) that makes you smile!  Are you fixing your own snacks? What are some of your recent favorites? I’ve been loving mini cranberry muffins with tea.

Today’s assignments include a math video by Mrs. Luciano and a special guest read aloud. I hope you enjoy all of these unique learning opportunities!

Social Studies: CULTURAL UNIVERSALS OF SCARSDALE (CLASS ZOOM LESSON @ 10:30)

Be sure you have something to write with and either paper or a notebook for our Zoom lesson.

Our new social studies unit will be about Cultural Universals. What that means is that all cultures, within a country and around the world, share certain ideas and ways of life. Universal means that it’s something that we all have in common. We may all have different types of dance, but we all dance. We may all have different ways of dressing, but we all wear clothes!

The Google Slides called, Cultural Universals Project, has been placed in your Social Studies folder for you already. After we have our Zoom lesson this morning, you can fill it out directly on the slides or print it out to handwrite the information. This will be due on Friday.

Get ready for Author RJ Palacio – Starting today she will be reading her book, Wonder, live on Twitter every day from 12:00-12:45. I can’t wait!

Handwriting – something to work on when you have the time

Below is a link to a presentation slideshow. Click on the link and you can print out the pages for practice on cursive handwriting. Remember, best posture and relax your hand grip!
