E-Learning Tuesday April 14

Good morning!

It was truly so great to see all of you on Zoom yesterday! I’ve missed talking with you and seeing all of your smiles! I loved reading our Padlet to see what you learned during Wellness Week. Check back to read my comments.

Yesterday, Trevor’s mom shared an awesome daily organizer with me. She made it for Trevor to help him plan his day and I want to share it with all of you so I put it in your social studies folder. Thank you so much Mrs. Miller!

Today we have a Zoom session scheduled with Mr. Casal @1pm. I’m really excited for it as he will be showing us something brand new so don’t be late!

Let’s get started…

MATH

Mass & Weight Word Problems Video with Mrs. DeGrazia

Workbook: Mass & Weight Word Problems Day 2 – you can find this in your math folder

SCIENCE

Weather Forecasting: What is The Weather Part Two Video

Weather Forecasting Day Two Slides are in your Science Folder on Drive

Be sure to update your weather journal this morning using Wunderground. or News 12

POETRY

Rhyme Video with Mrs. Mangan

Watch the video above to hear about using rhyme in a poem to create rhythm. Then try to find some poems that use this technique, and try writing some rhyming poems of your own! Take a picture of it and record yourself reading it on Seesaw.

The Slides from this video are in your social studies folder for you to review if/when needed.

READING

Read for 30 minutes. This can be on Epic (if you haven’t logged onto epic yet, please follow the directions below and do so now); TrueFlix, a physical book, Scholastic, or even an audio book.

Choose two pages to photograph and read to me on SeeSaw by Friday.

Logging onto Epic: go to https://www.getepic.com/students and use the code ecu0778.

WORDS THEIR WAY

Many of you have reported issues to me and I’ve contacted WTW. If you are having problems with using WTW or saving any of your work, please let me know.

See you all at 1:00PM

Ms. Boyer xo
