Library Broadcast (optional) – 2:30 pm – Mrs. Sorenson will read a book to you

It is an A Week. Thursday we have a 10:30 zoom with our buddies and Ms. Stile for the Book of the Month. Don’t forget to wear sunglasses, a hat, and a fun summer outfit. Then we will leave that zoom and reconnect with our class at 11am.

Read  your fantasy book for 20-30 minutes and post on your bookclub padlet

CURSIVE: Capital X (104-105) ~

Note: On the bottom right part of your handwriting workbook page there’s a QR code. Use your ipad or phone and use the camera to open the videos (tutorials) for each letter. This is important to understand the correct letter formation.  There are 11 more capital letters we did not get to. Please practice over the summer.

You can use your handwriting workbook to complete this work.  Please take a picture and insert it in your June eLearning slideshow. Please watch the video to help with your formation of capital X. You may need to watch the videos more than once and then skywrite. Complete workbook pages pp 104-105

Science: The Garden

Today you will watch the last two garden videos focusing on sustainability and harvesting. Watch the lesson carefully and then hop on over to Epic to read the book, “The Greatest Table.”

Then log in to Brainpop to complete the assignment called, “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.” Watch the movie and then complete either one or both of the quizzes.

  • Go to Brainpop an watch “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle” ~ Complete 1 or 2 quizzes

Summer Book Recommendations Video Project~ Optional

A great resource for book recommendations is our very own peers. This project will provide all of you some great suggestions for summer reading from the very best resource – your own friends! Watch this tutorial video to learn more about what is expected with your book recommendation video. Make sure to be clear in your presentation, choose one favorite book, or even series, to recommend and include all the requirements stated in the tutorial video. Have fun with this project and we look forward to seeing all the great videos!
