Playing Catcher

Many people think that all you do when you play catcher is catch the ball and throw it back to the pitcher. But there’s more to it. One thing is that you have to see the whole field and you are like to coach. You also have to throw the ball to second and third if anyone is stealing a base. You control the field as a catcher and you make the decisions for the team. You have to scream to tell your teammates what to do with the ball. Also if you don’t catch the ball it’s a big deal.
